ON A PERUSAL OF THE LETTER SUBMITTED TO THE EXCHANGES BY VI, IT IS BEYOND DOUBT THAT THE "AGR DUES " COMPRISING OF THE AGR PRINCIPAL AMOUNT AND ITS INTEREST HAVE BEEN CUT SHORT BY MORE THAN HALF. LAST SENTENCE IN THE SECOND PARA OF THE LETTER CLEARLY TELLS THAT " THE DOT LETTER ALSO PROVIDES THE COMPANY AN OPTION FOR EQUITY CONVERSION OF INTEREST DUES UPFRONT " FOR WHICH A PERIOD OF NINETY DAYS HAS BEEN PROVIDED. CONNECTING THIS WITH THE LAST LINE OF THE LAST PARA OF THE LETTER " THE AMOUNT OF AGR RELATED DUES AS STATED IN THE LETTER IS 8837 CRORES " WHICH IS SUBJECT TO REVISION. THE AMOUNT SHOWN IN THE LETTER IS FOR CONVERSION IN TO EQUITY WHICH IS INTEREST PORTION OF AGR AMOUNT. HERE THE DUES OF RS. 8837 CRORES IS INTEREST DUES. THAT MEANS THE EARLIER INTEREST DUES AMOUNTING TO RS 17000 CRORES( APPROX) HAS BEEN CUT SHORT TO 8837 CRORES. THIS IS THE TOTAL INTEREST DUES FROM THE BEGINING TILL FY 2018-2019. OUR BEAR FRIENDS HAVE TWISTED THIS AND MIS REPRESENTED THE SAME IN THE FORUM.

Let me try to reconcile the figure and put my read in front of the other forum members....16.1k Cr was the final NPV of the interest part of the deferred payment....during concal they said this is best estimate using dot formula upto March 2022 ....dot confirmed the same 16.3 k Cr as the final NPV of the interest part....if you refer last year AR.... spectrum instalment were close to 9k Cr remained unpaid and annual agr outflow was close to 5.5k Cr as per SC order...nearlu 7.8k Cr was already paid....AGR amount that company publishing every quarter has already considered this ...8.8k Cr is for the 2 years 2017 and 18 and 2018 and 19....of you refer to todays et article...latest dues of Vi is close to 59 k Cr this after adding 8.8 k Cr where as Airtel on standalone basis it is close to 31k Cr... ...best part is company will survive or pope will ensure that Vi will survive till 2032.

also, can anyone of the boarders guess that why the management is releasing this information in bits and pieces? The investment news came on Sunday night, then the meeting outcome was uploaded on the bse website at around 6.30 PM on Wednesday and this DOT letter declaration was made on BSE late night on Wednesday, are they trying to delay the run for as late as possible? and if so why? atleast now the promoters have got as much equity as they wanted... correct?

hi MARKETSQUEEZER bro, I read the letter line by line and your post as well, I do believe that the letter mentions - "on all AGR dues upto Financial Year 2018-19 which were not included in the Hon ble Supreme Court order dated 1st September, 2020" and also this - "The amount of the AGR related dues as stated in the said DoT Letter is Rs. 8,837 crores", this suggests that they are talking about the AGR interest dues in entirety upto the year 2018-19 but then the question is why did the market did not react to this news today? Or is this just a Wordplay and maybe our understanding is not correct? What are your thoughts....
