Dear Sajivoi jee,

I do not thank MMB Moderator solely survive upon our suggestions. It has its own system and work culture to tame the hooligans across the board. And, given the past record, it has been successful too.

Let us not jump to un-necessary conclusions and the suggestion which may not always work our way.

Dear Sajivoi jee,

Kindly desist from passing such un-founded and un-called for remarks which are most hurting. Let our very survival not depend upon the fake support which seems to be too shaky.

UM jee & all boarders - Kindly take care of this aspect, in right earnest.

Dear Samy

You can see US market are going up , but Indian markets are not supporting, because of FII selling, which is not good at all. I was expecting BUYS from FII yesterday. But they are the net sellers. Not Good At all.

I am not investing in this market since 2 years. This is absolutely a trading market. If you say investments for 30-40 days than its okay, but for 3 years Horizon, I do not feel comfortable. As political instability is the big question now. Hence I am buying and getting out, where I feel is the resistances.

It depends upon each, how he feels and invest in the market. I for the time being trying my best to save my capital first and than thinking to get some gain out of it.

Sanjay

Yes, the Chinese have been using their expansionary policies ever since communist revolution occurred. They will continue to do so in various pretexts including ideological. Ideologically communism is similar to Islam. Both want to unite the people across the world, irrespective of national boundaries. Both will gladly use military means achieve that "unity." Both encourage oligarchy and consequent deterioration of efficiency and productivity.

Why China succeeded where USSR failed was simply the overture from the West. During 1970`s there was a huge fear of communism taking over the world. Western leaders were afraid of their own trade unions and the unions had run over US, UK and European countries and there was an extended recession. The 1971 Indo-Pak war and subsequent Soviet annexation of Afghanistan gave rise to fears that USSR and India together could annexe Pakistan and cut off the West`s access to the Middle Eastern crude. It was in this scenario that a mission flew from US to China. The latter was also reeling under economic problems. It also happened that Mao Xe Tung had just died and the visionary Deng Xiaoping rose to power. His motto was "To get rich, build a road." The West asked from China space to build their factories, and a disciplined, low-paid labor force. This suited both because the Western economies were reeling from high cost of production and militant trade unionism and it was imperative move their factories to the prison-like atmosphere of China. It was in fact an intellectual masterstroke from the West. Meanwhile Soviet Union was harried and harassed by proxy wars in Afghanistan. US armed Islamic fundamentalists, taught them guerrilla warfare. Slowly but surely, Soviet Union crumbled. Just as surely, China grew. Chinese prisoners built the country`s roads and cities quietly and obediently. There was a brief episode where some misguided students in China wanted free speech but that was crushed quickly while the Western governments looked the other way.

My point is that China uses both communist ideologies to suppress their own people and conquer territories and use the worst sort of capitalism to make money. This ideological schizophrenia may cause an explosion in China. In America everyone knows its free market policies. The smart become rich and every American hopes to become rich. But in China everyone is expected to take only what one needs. But when the poor Chinese look up and see the same leaders who taught them austerity in the past are now being driven around in Rolls Royces, their sense of betrayal will be immense. One day it will break out. That will be when the Chinese leadership will attempt to placate their people by various gimmicks like "national pride" and "conquering of inferior people". It will be Orwell`s Animal Farm at its worst.

Bad for India whose soft underbelly is exposed to the claws of the Dragon.

Dear saharey

You will see more chinese in the western part of America. They are all migrated from eastern part of china. The eastern part of America is more fertile lands. Even you find gujarthis in that area. Both are quite enterprising in nature. They always keep contact with the main land.
It is because of these people china could develope more industries in mainland.
As you go to San francisco you can see the big bridge as also known as golden bridge ( I hope the name I remember is correct ) is also known as wellcome gate for the people to enter America for trade.
The distance between eastern America and some parts of china is shorter.
Regarding the chinese dentist I too remember having seen them in madras during 1959/60. They are very much diminished now may be after china invaded india.

hello sirji

US 10 year treasury are rising, against the weak global conditions! regarding german bunds i saw that they rose 100 bps points!

i think the spain market rose because of the availability if the funds that would be given to them from the euro nations, this is my guess, i tried to look for reason every where, but this is all i could get!

well regarding bonds, what time frame represent the most immediate action, i think it should be the 3 months????

Dear UM,
I`ve just traced out some of my notes made in 2011 when I was reading about Chinese aggressive stance over South China Sea.....here are some relevent excerpts......

One major source of tension between Beijing and some of its Pacific neighbors is their overlapping claims to the South China Sea. This 3.5 million-square-kilometer body of water contains islands, minerals, oil and natural gas reserves, and maritime passages contested by the various littoral states. China and Vietnam assert claims to all the small islands in the South China Sea, whereas Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Taiwan claim only some of them. The Spratly and Paracel chains are the most prominent of the islands, whose small size and population belie the potential value of the important natural resources, especially oil and natural gas, thought to lie under their surrounding waters. The islands are also surrounded by valuable fishing grounds and straddle shipping lanes through which vital energy resources flow into East Asia from beyond.

During the 1990s, the PRC declared the entire South China Sea to be its territorial waters and indicated a willingness, when it gained the capacity, to enforce these claims. In the early 2000s, however, Beijing changed course and pursued a “smile diplomacy” to reassure ASEAN nations worried by its rising military power. In November 2002, China and the ASEAN countries signed the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, pledging to resolve sovereignty disputes peacefully through direct negotiations.

PRC modified its low-key approach in March 2010, when Chinese officials said `China has indisputable sovereignty of the South Sea, and China has sufficient historical and legal backing.`

They declared the South China Sea `a core national interest.` In diplomatic language, this term normally means an issue, a state is willing to use military force to defend. Until this point, Chinese leaders had applied that term only to Tibet and Taiwan.

that`s what makes me more bullish,

globally, every warning, negative news, downgrades, loss of business etc... are ignored by the markets and month by month we are inching high globally.

So, india would follow soon, may be instead of inching, by hop jobbing..

Markets are to go up, S&P news didn`t create a avalanche of selling. The big guys are probably sensing this. Any sell trigger is not amplified by the participants(local). This could be a trigger going ahead for a new high and............. let`s see then.
