Qatar (Doha) - Qtel signed a major new agreement with Spanco GKS (Golden Key Solutions) designed to offer enhanced support for the small business sector. Under the terms of the agreement, Spanco GKS will work with Qtel to provide a range of fully comprehensive solutions, combining Qtel`s advanced infrastructure and technology services, such as Broadband Internet connections and phone services, with Spanco GKS s expertise in business process outsourcing (BPO).

Through the partnership, companies will be able to buy a special range of bundled solutions that combine Qtel s leading-edge technology with Spanco GKS s expertise in key areas. As a result, companies will be able to benefit from significant cost savings and enhanced efficiencies.

Eng. Khalid Abdulla Al Mansouri, Executive Director, Business Solutions, Qtel, said: "Qtel is entering this partnership in response to demand from Qatar s emerging small business sector, which is looking for ways to enhance its competitive edge."

"We believe the partnership with Spanco GKS will enable us to deliver an enhanced range of services that are tailored to match the needs of dynamic local businesses in Qatar," he added.

Spanco GKS will be able to develop bespoke solutions for companies within Qatar looking to outsource non-core functions overseas. By partnering with Qtel, the company will have the benefit of deploying Qatar s most reliable network, and also have access to the advanced technical resources of the Qtel Business Solutions team.

Tejinder Singh Bhatia, Director and CEO, Spanco GKS, said: "This is a landmark agreement for Spanco GKS, as we expand our operations in the dynamic and fast-growing market of Qatar. We believe that by partnering with Qtel, we are working with one of the region s pioneers, and we will be able to deliver new benefits for customers across Qatar."

As the company that continues to build the Internet and communications network infrastructure of Qatar, Qtel has worked with a huge range of leading companies. In recent months, it has increased the range of services provided to the small and medium business sector, recognising the important role these companies play within the economy.

Recent initiatives include the launch of the revamped Business ADSL service, to include mobile broadband back-up and support, as well as a series of dedicated workshops and training sessions. The agreement with Spanco GKS is another key step in this evolving strategy.
