Media conglomerate Sun TV Networks expects 100 per cent growth in revenue from its global business in the next 18-months, a top company official said.

"We expect to double revenues from our international operations over the next 12-18 months," Sun TV`s COO Ajay Vidyasagar told reporters here today.

Sun TV, which operates 20 TV channels in the country, has its presence in countries such as the US, Canada and Singapore, besides several other European nations.

At present, contribution from its overseas operations to its total revenue is merely three to four per cent. This is likely to grow to six to eight per cent in the next 18 months.

The company also aims to expand its viewership from the current base of 95 million households.

Vidyasagar added that the company has no plans to foray into the Hindi GEC segment.

"We have no plans to enter into the Hindi GEC segment. But we want to keep our focus on each and every pocket of the country," Vidyasagar said.

On advertising rates, he said: "FMCG, telcos, automotive and retail industry were doing good and were the main contributors to the ad space. With the increase in ad rates, the company sees 40 per cent growth in revenues."
