"The NHAI has given the letter of award to the company for upgrading NH-47 from Patna to Muzaffarpur in the State of Bihar," Gammon Infrastructure Projects said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 8.50 billion, it said and added that the concession period of the highway project is 15 years including the construction period of 2.5 years.
The company has been awarded this road project under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) of the NHAI on a build, operate and transfer (annuity) basis.
Under the project, Gammon Infra would be responsible for upgrading the existing highway (NH-47) to a four lane dual carriageway and constructing a 16.8-km bypass that will connect NH-28 of the East-West Corridor with the state, it added
