Environment minister Jairam Ramesh, known for courting controversy and making candid remarks, on Friday said if there was a Nobel Prize for dirt and filth, India would get it.
“Our cities are the dirtiest cities of the world. If there is a Nobel Prize for dirt and filth, India will win it, no doubt,” he said at a function to release a report ‘Green India 2047’ by The Energy Research Institute (TERI).
So when do we have it, the streets lined with trees in whose shade we could see hollihocks and bluebells and a vairety of mushrooms? as in those fairy tale books of Goldilocks... when dear lord.. when?.. I prayed and prayed and in a week`s time Jairam Ramesh uttered this.. so when next do we see all this implemented..

In the meantime i urge all of you to tell your friends and relatives not to dump trash on roadside, outside your residence and other public places. Fight for garabage disposal in your area at least.
