Dude they have started the company not to serve u for free .... they have invested billions of dollars ... so they deserve it...
Let me ask u a simple question ?
What business are u in ?
If you buy a product to sell ... sell at the cost price ... you will get to know what it takes to invest your money and time along with the risk factor.
I appreciate your understanding that business is to make profit.
Let me ask you a question in return.
Would you like to pay Rs.350/- if your call cost is only Rs.250/-, especially when there are people who charge only for what you use? Airtel is not a monopoly. Acceptance for other operators are visible for the last 3 month. From the No.1 position interms of subscriber addition to No:3 in Oct!!!!!.
Let them sell 1min packs or they may charge whatever they want from the customer. Let us see how many takers will be their for their connection.
Market doesnot depend on cost but demand and supply.Cost of sugar was Rs18/kg but was sold at Rs 15/kg 2 years back.So all sugar cos were in loss.Same thing is happening in Telcos.Supply of connection is more demand so telcos r selling seconds and minuts at below cost. Now with new entrants u wl c 1 paisa/2 second.Just wait for next quart All telco profit wl nosedive and so d share price.
We think only from a small perspective. They are running a billion $ company and answerable to big sharks in the industry.
You will notice after a gap of 2 to 3 years many new entrants will be vanished from the market or cannibalisation will take place. At that time whoever is cash rich can swallow those rivals.
