The results are good but not great!!! PAT is at Rs 13.85cr, as against Rs 7.59Cr (or 82.5%) in the same quarter a year earlier. On QoQ, the PAT is up almost 25%. Sale is up 19.82% on YoY and mere 7% on QoQ. No Sakthi Sugar type out performance!!!
Companies like Dhampur and Rajshree have been holding back stocks to sell later at higher prices and thus Q4 results have not been exceptional. The results for Oct-Dec quarter will be spectacular and by the end of Jan,the share prices might easily double/triple from current levels. Of course, intermediate dips in the Sensex will effect the journey but a re-rating is surely on the cards by Jan. Compare these to large caps who have Re.1/- face value and high P/Es already.
I think you can very well go for Dhampur sugar...btw do you want it for long term (10-12 months) or short term (1-2 month) ... is you are a long term player I dont think that you should hesitate even for a second ...
Typically such high prices will lead to overproduction throughout the world next year. The market might price all the gains in by next March, so one should keep a lookout after that.
I had taken Dhampur when it was 70 n now wanna take more and me long term --so accd 2 ur research wht u think after 10-12 months from now where it shd go n if market crash u think dhampur will fall below 100
depends whether you are talking about market correction or market crash ... no comments in case of a market crash ... but if there is a correction (nifty to 4300-4400) dhampur may move down to about 100-105 levels after that 95 is a key support price ...
Expect 200 after this quart result in Jan2010.It has a stock of 0.45 million tonnes of raw sugar purchased at 0.18$/pound compared to current price of 0.25$/pound.
To see where sugar stocks like Dhampur can go, take a look at the 5 year charts. The last time around in 2005-2006, the global sugar shortage wasn`t even as bad as it is now.Parallels are being drawn with the situation in 1981.However,in the event of a market crash no one knows what will happen...but this is a risk you run with any stock anytime.
yes - ideally it is true - thie year a similar attempt was made by weather played truant ..given the same happening again...
It would be yet another March..by then..
