As per decision of CCEA (Cabinet committee of economic
affairs), the weekly WPI will cover only Primary articles &
Fuel, power, light & lubricants group (FPLL) group. Monthly
WPI covering all commodities will be released for the
month of Oct 09, next week on Nov 12th.

Primary Articles (22.03%) –

Index of Prim. Articles stood at 8.94% or 21.8 ppb up for w/e Oct 24th as compared to 8.6% rise in previous week, moving up to 273 (P) from 250.6 YoY. Prices of Prim.
Articles remained high this year as ompared to last year’s prices, although the prices have started easing on weekly
basis wherein prices index would stay up on last year’s low base effect. Prices of prim. Articles eased further 0.11% or
0.3 ppb WoW as compared 0.07% decline in the previous week.
Prim. Articles prices were higher 11.73% YoY last year during the same period.
I) Food Articles (15.4%) ‐ Food articles index, part of the Prim. Articles declined
further by 0.7 ppb or 0.25% WoW, from 278.4(P) to 277.7 (p) due to lower prices of fish‐marine declined 3%, fruits & vegetables down 2% & barley, jowar down 1% each.

However prices of moong up by 3%, wheat & bajra up 2% each. Pulses prices increased 0.92% WoW after increasing 0.5% in the previous weeks while on YoY the prices escalated further to 23.5% from 22.9% in previous week & cereals price stood 11.1% up annually which increasing 0.5% WoW.

The food articles were costlier by 13.4 % as against 9.3% last year during the same period.

WPI as was announced herein-before will be announced every 2nd Thursday of the month. Only the group consisting of FOOD, Power, fuel and Light will be announced on weekly basis.

sir ur long term picks telecom stocks r going down almost daily like falling cards even on 2 days of a goodupmove all bcoz of short covering they were unable to move means there is not even short covring happening in these stocks they r just going down. Even today FIIs had sold a large chunk of telecom stocks especially bharti and idea. Now what is ur view

sir,

i am holding idea , rcom, videocon tightly. only telecom sector is available at extreamly chip rate. let the operators do their work, just hold your stock tightly. i feel telecom , perticularly idea,videocon,rcom will outperform in next 1 year.

likh lo , ARPU will not going down from here.
