NTPC has plans to set up two solar thermal units of 50 Mw each in Gujarat, reports Business Standard.

The company has firmed up its plans to initially install a solar power generation capacity of 100 Mw in the state, which may go up to 300 Mw at a later stage.

Gujarat government has already approved NTPC`s 50 Mw solar thermal power unit.

Kutch and Banaskantha districts have been identified for the proposed 100 Mw solar thermal power capacity, with an investment from NTPC of around Rs 20 billion.

Hi I am an long term investor with no hurry. Is it fair to purchase NHPC at current rates i.e @ Rs 32/-+ and hold them for two years plus. or any other share I am obseesed with the low rated Ambuja Cement share and `Suzlon`. Is it fair to go for these shares and wait for two years to reap the profit?. Kindly advise I find your concepts very Genuine and trustworthy. Krrish
