With reference to news item appearing in leading financial daily titled "L&T Info in talks to buy Patni", Patni Computer Systems Ltd has clarified to BSE that the news appearing in the media appears to be speculative in nature and the Company does not have any knowledge of the contents of the transaction contemplated in the said article. Further, the Company has not received any notice from any of the major shareholders mentioned in the news article regarding sale of their stake in the Company.
