You see after buying godavari power, the market corrected about 2000 points. Nifty touched a high of around 5200. Do you think that the nifty would not cross 5200 at all. Since Infra and power have to play a significant role in future one should not feel depressed at this juncture. So the best option is to wait for a medium term perspective and if possible average out the same at an opportune time.

Dear RajKishore Sir, Since yesterday stocks are bouncing back one after the other. It seems that those who have patience and are in long term will surely going to again but sometime the loss in portfolio became so high that it remind me 2008 downfall and push me to book loss then to keep patience. I bought some stocks in 2007 and sold them all in profit except Rcom,GMR,DLF. But if i had sold them earlier and invested the same money in good stocks then scene would be different. Sometime we are out of money to average when market is going down.

Please give your view on some strategy in stock market.

with regards
Pratap

Pratap,

There is no ready made strategy. Even I have booked huge loss during the recent correction. I do not mind much as I am confident of recovering the same in some other stocks. The market mantra is that you should be extra-vigilant in buying and selling. The Principle is that buy low and sell high. When the general public will sell, you should buy and when the general public will buy you should sell. Besides, patience has a key role to play. Do not also by greedy. Besides, your debit should be very less.
