Ashok Leyland Ltd has informed the Exchange that in the casual vacancy caused by the demise of Mr. P N Ghatalia, Mr. Anil Harish has been appointed as an Independent Director and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company at the Board Meeting held on October 30, 2009.
