I have 7000 Aftek @ 82. I had been buying this stock since 2005. I have lost all hope of it reaching my cost price but I would like to limit my losses. What would be a good price to sell.

This company has disappointed so many people in last 5 years.
Promoters have no interest in this company and have sold all their holdings.
Don`t expect any thing. Salvage whatever you have at the moment.
Need not to worry abt it..
Like the fall of all other stocks, Aftek has also experienced the Recession shock..
But u can hold it ..
alternatively, u can add some more @ 17-19 levels..
Once Sensex crosses 18500, u can expect this stock to move above 50..
I hold 1000 qty , bought @ 73..
U are already in heavy loss so the time for a decision to limit losses is more in the past.I too have a huge holding at Rs 33 but plan to hold on for another year atleast.It finally depends on how much loss u can take and your holding power.Since other stocks are doing well in my portfolio I am playing this one for long term.I may also average if it falls further,say arnd 12 or so.
Wait for some more time as Investors, traders started looking at this stock once again. Today it hit its upper circuit. Lets hope for the best in coming days. I know the pain of booking losses. Hence avoid this and be patience for at least a quarter from now to decide on it.
Thank you all for your comments. I would hold it for some more time. Seekport going bankrupt and now Aftek now being able to located the 300 crore FD`s have really dented my confidence in Aftek management. I am convinced that they are cheaters.Anyways, not all stocks go by fundamentals. Should I average around these levels (19-20). I had stopped averaging from 55 levels. Why has the stock hit upper circuit. Is it speculative buying?

I have no idea of the present functioning of the company
I have seen Aftek to move from 60 Rs to 5000 Rs in 1999-2000 and back to single digit,similarly HFCL,Silverline, also went up to four figure and back to single digit
Thes are all artificial hikes and manipulations
But this week,an investment advisor recommended this stock to buy for a target of 80 rs in medium term so I bought 500 shares on the same day,but after seeing the movement I feel I committed a mistake for bying it at 18 rs
I have seen Pyramid Saimira MD PSSaminathan personally wtiting message here as what the company is doing to regain shareholders confidence but no such efforts are made ny the promoters of Aftek,
I will keep the stock for one month exactly and book losses
If one has to gamble ,its better to buy Austral Coke
