Union Bank Of India has informed the Exchange that "The Central Government, after consultation with Reserve Bank of India has amended the Nationalised Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980 and the same has been informed by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance vide their letter no.F.No.13/1/2006-BO-I dated September 25, 2009. In view of the said amendments and pursuant to Clause 30 of the Listing Agreement, we wish to inform you that Shri. Debasis Ghosh, appointed as Officer Employee Director w.e.f. November 22, 2005 has ceased to be Director of the Bank".
