charges for deccan chronicle by20% announced today! if the same happens with major media business channels can we expect ndtv to cross n close above rs180 in the short term? what happend to the story of religare buying stake in ndtv? i am waiting to buy ndtv @140 levels when market tanks again! - gupta.

As you said, You can wait for few days to enter. Don buy if any positive info comes for NDTV or any green signal in sensex, we will be seeing 7%-10% correction for sure in a days to come. Iam also waiting for the script to come at 140.

Instead of just waiting, i would suggest slow accumulating... there are chances of ndtv going to 140 but there are as many chances that it will go back up and in the next upmove ,its going to happily break previous resistance levels.
Further, demerger news is not priced into stock yet.. but its coming..and its coming soon.
better to be in the stock rather than rubbing hands in despair later.
NDTV IS A BUY! no matter what the technical analysts are saying, and even more so, if overall markets keeps its strength, like it is doing presently.
Buy NDTV.. as long as overall market is stable, NDTV has found major support at 158 levels and demerger is coming soon.. i doubt its going back lower very soon...
dont miss the opportunity.. and this time when it goes up, it is definitely going to smash its resistance level of 187... i am looking at 240 or more levels for ndtv within a month.

We are very very close to NDTV announcing demerger...so if one is interested in buying NDTV at all and taking advantage of value unlocked due to demerger (if any) i suggest one should start building up positions. Not that i am saying 140 is not possible, in fact, even 132 is possible..but this is the stock market and its better to begin adding positions rather than just waiting for targets which are just a few rupees away.
I dont see any positive points on NDTV and its movement in price. 140 is very very much possible and why not 100-129 levels if Nifty tankls to 4k-4.2k. I just want to enter only coz of De Merger in NDTV, and that too let that info comes into picture. No hurry to enter here at current levels. October will give good oppurtunity to enter freshly, also let DeMerger info come...
Dear Sir samirarora, I`m apologise to talk about another scrip in he NDTV board.
I wonder if you have ever tracked a company called PTC India Ltd. It is a good professionally managed PPP company and has a very good scope of appreciation, as per me. I have been holding on to it for the past few years, actually 2, but have not been seeing any appreciation at all. It has very prominent funds as shareholders. But revently, T Rowe Price sold their stake from over 9% to 3.5%. All power stocks are doing well, except this one. Any views to share Sir ? Best Wishes and Regards.... YPal

I would have liked to be of help, but i have absolutely no idea about PTC. Sorry!!
Prominent shareholders does not mean much, as you have yourself stated, that one of them is quickly reducing stake. So buying a stock, only because of who else holds it is not the only criteria one should look at.. If you had gotten into some high beta sector in feb march, you would have probabaly doubled or trebled your money by now.
Do some further research on PTC and unless you find good reason to be still in it, its best to move on.. the fact that you held it for 2 yrs+ without making profit will pinch you, but thats now how stock market investing works.. one has to be willing to face up to whats past and always look at the future and remember you buy stocks to make money, not to become owners of the company.

I shall be happy to share that with you if you wish. Even though it has not shown appreciation, I still would like to hold it at least for two more years, based on my estimates. ypal,Happy to see u back!.The plans of PTC are big... but the concern is when this plans will put it in to reality? we have seen almost for 2 years with the same news of acquring coal blocks, creating power funds,etc...but these things are not happening...It can gain only if all these things happen...but when is a big question!
