Britannia Industries Ltd has informed the Exchange that by an order made on July 23, 2009 the Honble High Court at Calcutta has directed that a meeting of the Equity Shareholders of Britannia Industries Limited being the Applicant Company (hereinafter referred to as the Applicant Company) be held on August 31, 2009 for the purpose of considering and if thought fit, approving with or without modification, the Scheme of Arrangement proposed to be made between the Applicant Company and its members.
