Aptech Limited had informed the Exchange regarding the Postal Ballot Notice dated January 31, 2009 sent to the shareholders seeking their approval under section 372A of the Companies Act, 1956 for making investment for an amount upto Rs. 200 Crores beyond the prescribed limits, in one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, which in turn would make further investment in its subsidiary company (i.e. third tier investment). The company has now clarified that the explanatory statement which was sent along with the Postal Ballot Notice inadvertently mentioned that the name of the Company as Beida Jadebird IT Education Company Limited instead of Beijing Jadebird IT Education Company Limited in which 22% stake was proposed to be acquired by the third tier subsidiary.
