Buy back offer is at 351 and prevailing price in market is 380 plus.

Who will sell stock back to the company and pay higher tax

In order to come to proper level buy back offer has to be revised and should not be less than 425.

Best buy even at 385 level for persons with patience.

Now the offer price from 20/5 to 8/6/09 seems at the same old price, under the circumstances can one expect a higher price than the CMP ? or would the buying be done at prevailing market prices during the period 20/5 to 8/6/09 ? In that case the market price may go up much higher, what should be the strategy henceforth ?

From novartis web site

Novartis increases its offer price on Novartis India Ltd.
This release is neither an offer to purchase nor a solicitation of an offer to sell shares of Novartis India Ltd.
Basel, Switzerland, May 28, 2009 - Novartis announced today an increase in the offer price for Novartis India Ltd. to Rs 450 per share, from Rs 351 initially proposed.
The revised offer represents a premium of 63% to the closing share price of Rs 275.6 of Novartis India Ltd. on March 24, which was the last trading day before announcement of the offer.
This proposal represents Novartis` only and final price revision to this offer, as May 28 is the last day on which the price can be revised.

Can anyone tell me what would be strategy for NOVARTIS Shareholder after increase in open offer price to Rs.450.Should investor tender share in open offer for Rs.450 or it is better to hold for long term hoping that either offer price or market price of novartis shares will increase? What are the chances that after open offer closes in june that current market price around rs.444 will be sustained or it will fall below rs.400?
