Punjab Tractors Ltd has informed BSE that the Honble High Court of Judicature at Bombay has approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of Punjab Tractors Ltd with Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and their respective Shareholders vide Order dated January 09, 2009, a certified copy of which was made available on January 22, 2009.
The Honble High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh has also approved the Scheme vide Order dated January 16, 2009. However, the certified copy of this Order is yet to be received.
The Effective Date of the Scheme will be the last of the dates on which the said certified copies of the Orders passed by the aforesaid High Courts are filed with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, Mumbai and the Registrar of Companies, Punjab, Jalandhar respectively.
