Yes....food security bill is likely to get passed in the current monsoon session ! No political party would like to be seen as opposed to this.......UPA has played this card just ahead of assembly elections in some key states and General Elections....but the BIG question here is " Will this prove to be a master stroke just like Pay Commission report implementation and Farm Loan waiver scheme announced ahead of 2004 and 2009 elections ?? It remains to be seen. My personal opinion is that anti-incumbency and consistently high inflation rate will take a toll on UPA prospects this time , irrespective of FOOD SECURITY BILL...... Thanks

by passing the bill present govt will earn the good will of the majority and at the same they can easily empty the food godowns which are getting spoiled and un utilised for many years. with one bill they are targeting two benefits.
