Dear Sharma jee , this UPA 2 government has been on crutches for the last 2 years.........scam after scam has been their sole achievement resulting in drastic dip in GDP growth! But look at our respected PM , he is saying India has done better under UPA.........he must get a reality check......FY12-13 GDP will be below 5% unless they fudge the data!

You are right.

It was a kind of political arrangement at the fag end of the development which unfolded itself with Mamta parting ways. Simply said an in lay man`s terms, UPA II played its cards successfully with its spokesperson being smart in their clever tactics and siding with UPA II. No doubts, Mulayam and party was assured of some freebies to assure its (UPA II) very survival. And rest is a history now for the current dispensation to claim its success. But, what public needs and expect is measured and definitive results to come out of quagmire.

It again shows the arrogance of UPA government..........the problem is they refuse to accept their shortcomings and are taking the country to newer lows day by day.........GDP growth has fallen below 5% this fiscal and he wants us to believe that he has done better...........he is an overrated economist it seems! MMS has survived only because UPA has been able to use it`s influence and power, thereby buying the support of people like Mulayam and Maya.............these are his REAL achievements!

Yes, cutting across the party line and politics all leaders must sit across the table, discuss thread bare putting their head and heart together as to how best the economy is made to come out of woods. Our leaders lack this "will" and are busy with buying votes and bullying and bulldozing each other especially now when the elections are at the threshold. They wake up but at the time when it is convenient for them.

U R absolutely Right...since independence V in a Transition phase & have not transformed into a full fledge Democracy... its in our roots... the root cause is V R Secular Soveriegn Socialist Democratic Republic of India ... & thats the very core of our problem lies... if U can introspect & learn all the meaning of all those five ideologies U may find Light ... cause all those five carry different ideology & all those separately define different set of Rules & Laws... each of the category contradicts the other in forming Rules & Laws... as all five carry a different Base....Thanks

I do agree with a hope that it provides a fair governance free of corruption and scandals while strictly believing that, it is the inflation which not only stares but also scares us thus making the very survival of common man too difficult. While in the good old days,besides managing with the other needs of his home n hearth he could buy few items of minimum comfort setting aside some money from the monthly income, it is no more the case with him/her these days.

Shall wait for the better days to return.

When you peep into the history of India ever since it attained independence, it would reveal that both Congress and BJP/NDA are a "suspect". No sensible citizen should get influenced by the promises which are never fulfilled. Be it on account of worsening economic situation, provision of basic amenities to the common man and above all, India`s foreign policy which finds flaws sometimes because of the half hearted approach of ruling dispensation while on other occasion, opposition party stays back on issues which are of national interests and hold the vital key for the nation to progress.
