I support what you have written. Ordinary people are too emotional and irrational that they are spending time with Kohinoor issue. The British looted much more than the Kohinoor but at the same time we have immensely benefited by their presence. Modern education, idea of modern state, concept of democracy -- we have gained much. Railways has connected different regions of India. The concept of `India` as a nation was not present before their arrival. A large number of Indians reside at Britain and Britain is our friendly nation. We should not raise the issue of Kohinoor. The misery of Indian is due to misdeeds of our corrupt and self seeking politicians. They are the real `Meerjafars`.
No, as atleast we can see the kohinoor in muisium once it comes to india next day u will find it is missing and to trace it we will spend more than kihinoor and still it will be not traceble
yes.it is a historian fact...but then if they start doing returning everything that they looted from India and other countries, they will be left with no clothes on their body.
Not only the Kohinoor but the all the other heritage items kept in various British museums which were forcefully taken from rulers of various kingdoms of our country.
Whats the logic of fighting for rocks when most of the cash of the country is lying with a select few who pump it into foreign banks to save themselves.
KOHINOOR is the most unlucky `ratna` in the world. see the history of the owners of this KOHINOOR. you will see that who ever is holding this kohinoor is on the ground only. his family/as well as the other life is not .....
.... Aapke-mere chahne se kya hoga...? We have now become accustummed of hearing " a flat NO " by the ministers of other countries when they are speaking at our own land. Pak foreign minister says in DELHI that they are not going to send back HAFIZ SAYEED .. the main accused of 26/11 ...; not give any clue about DAWOOD and so on. So also CAMERON says in Delhi ... "we won`t return your KOHINOOR.
This is a very naive`, hypothetical question to ask on a board such as this. This is not the appropriate platform for it. However, to answer your question - wealth of nations may be determined by economics and the west controlled monetary system; but the question of prestige holdings land or artifacts always stays under a government/nation state with the help of a sword. Might is always measured with power and process. If there is power , projected or otherwise Britain will automatically hand over the Kohinoor to make peace. Or , else they are known for their greed in money. So we may buy it. If not, we may have to wrest with the sword, Tipu Sultan`s or else`s to bring it back in Dilli. And then what would would happen? Someone will sell it to someone.Even one Nobel Prize medal was stolen. The fact is that fo rthe vast majority it is food. And there is not enough of it. And for that ....
I don`t know the exact history of Kohinoor, 1) if it was gifted by Nizham to British Then no need to get back...2)If it was taken by british using power then they can consider giving back to India eventhough centuries passed.
