we are paying service tax when we go for a speed post . if this is not stopped why STT will be abolished . service tax should be abolished . we are paying for the service and it is an expenditure ,so service tax is expenditure tax .so many middle class people will benefit out of it .abolish it not STT . it is a tax on share daily transaction .people in the share market mostly prepared to loose monet even when they come with a desre to earn .

STT should stay. LTCG is not chargeable and it is in the interest of genuine investors though against large traders. Stock Exchanges should encourage long term investments and not set rules for short term investors/traders. Then they should go to the race cource

no need. only bears are getting benefited by low STT. increase STT to scrap capital gains tax on shares.

Short term capital gains should be abolished & not the STT ... Stt may be reduced or decreased with few adjustments... Govts can also legalize Gambling & levy such Transaction tax ... as V know ;lots of illegal Gambling done on ...elections ...sports & may be many other things ...it seems
