Is robbing the money of Poor investors is not the Crime? Rajat Gupta by resorting to insider trading has filled his bank account at the cost of common investor. This is heinous crime and a strong punishment is required so that no body else can dare to adopt such practice which is detrimental to investors interest.

A crime is a crime and strict punishment under law should be enforced to teach lession. If laws are made then no body should be above law , if things gets diluted then later on there will not be any punishment for any crime, that is wrong signal.

`` No amount of punishment is severer than when one falls down in one`s own esteem". Rajat Gupta once the epitome of the unknown Indian making it big in the US has perhaps suffered his biggest ignominy by being charged guilty in an insider scam. No amount of Physical punishment or severity of it (3 yrs or 10 yrs in jail) can cause as much damage as the media spectacle that he has already been made. Peers say that he has been a good man, helped others. If that is the case then he should be sensitized with. Accidents can happen even with the best drivers. As it is insider trading rarely affects the public at large, what have we done to those criminals who have defrauded the public for their own selfish goals
