yes, only the quality of airlines and the service needs to improve, and new destinations need to be explored, we don`t require airlines for already established destinations
Yes to the extent that these Airplanes are kept as SHOW-PIECE in the ROOMS and for this their are so many ROOM in the Buildings newly built by Builders and not occupied.
Any airline with a professional management will flourish despite the adverse environment. However, airlines like KF will go bust. They need to have a good business plan.
More than 50 % of charges go towards airports. If I get to fly at half the present price with no facility at airport, I will always fly and never look for that useless railways where you never get reservation, because of total corruption
yes india aviation sector is the most fruitful of in the world where economy is growing every year compared to other nations hence any number of airlines will be profitable for running in indian skys
Mr Jeh Wadia yes India has room for any number of airlines but to die and not for earning operational viability As their are limited number of flying roots in country A data can easily made for monthly and yearly passengers flying on a paricular root This should be the base of flights and available seats on that route All l operators should schedule flights in harmony to that only and not to waste occupancy slots on board Do you not consider it a national crime to waste costly aviation fuel by burning imported dollors and public money of banks kept by people of nation in them Mr Wadia
No, i do not agree with him at all for reasons enumerated below-
(a) Air travel is not increasing in % terms as it was till sometime back since fares have gone up by a big margin.
(b) Airline companies are reeling under the cost of fuel mostly on account of high taxes on ATF, although Govt has allowed them to purchase it directly but logistical problems persist.
(c) Airport and parking charges are very high which eat into their profits.
(d) Dearth of technical manpower which leads to shortage and thus exorbitant salaries add to the burden.
(e) No coherent policy for development of aviation infrastructure is preventing expansion.
(f) The FDI move of the Govt has come a bit too late when the industry is bleeding and foreign investors are weary of investments.
There are many other issues also perhaps the space here is less and i would restrict myself to these only for now.
