Financially u can call KFA and air india similar but not on a whole basis. Remember, in India things work differently if the owner is a flamboyant businessman. Air India is after all a Govt entity and private airlines are partly to blame for Air india`s current situation. It has been put to such situation to help the private players.
Coming back to KFA, Its still alive just beacuse of VJM`s reach in delhi and his networks. These `humanitarian` grounds are nothing but a backdoor channel to release funds. Yes, they cant do this for much long but this is happening for more than a year now and u never know what will happen in future.
Govt will try its best not to allow KFA to sink. Even though its getting difficult for KFA to survive day by day there are so many sectors attached to it and will be affected if it fails.
