It should not be forgotten what BJP is. BJP is not a political party of its own. Its the political wing of an ultr-right wing organization i.e. RSS.
RSS has got nothing to do with Muslim welfare etc. BJP wooing muslims is nothing but an act of desperation to come to power at any cost

As I understand, Muslim population has outnumbered Christain (I remember reading about it a some time back). When it comes to India, Muslims are more here than in Pakistan or in other surrounding countries. However, it is not I am cconcerned about it.

The question is - who is appeasing them and for what.
The Muslims are not drectly involved in any demand for appeasement. It is mostly done by the Hindu political leaders, as if they are their caretakers. Most of these appeasement talks are coming whenever there is an important election. At the time of UP election, all parties (except, perhaps BJP) raised the issue of Reservation. It is catching fire as assembly elections are round the corner. Then comes the parliamentary election, when the issue is going to hot up. Once the election is over, we hear nothing about it. Of course, RSS will not support it and we all know it. Now even BJP is joining in this band wagon with a view to grab some votes. Are Muslims benefit out of it? Surely not but they are the ones who are being used as the pawns.

Knowing that our politicians are `visionary`(????) (read opportunists, I guess that the reason behind Muslim appeasement could be......could be.....the rising muslim population across the world (more particularly in Asia). It is around 27 percent (next to Christian Population of 33% approx) wheras Hindu population is less than 15 per cent.

And you know, n democracy number is important!!

bjp will have to cone the voters to bringabout development of the country. if voters can votebjp in gujrat why wont they vote for bjp in the center. the fight now is not for secular image but for development .
