Austere UPA`s 3rd anniversary bash cost Rs 7,700 per head

NEW DELHI: The UPA government spent over Rs 28 lakh on a bash to celebrate its third anniversary. The Rs 7,700-a-head dinner comes at a time when the government has announced austerity measures. Incidentally, the UPA-2 had stipulated that Rs 28 per day is sufficient to keep a person out of poverty.

The dinner, hosted on May 22 at 7, Race Course Road, was attended by 375 guests, including Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members of Parliament, leaders of political parties, members of the Congress Working Committee and media persons. Hosted by PM Manmohan Singh, prominent on the guest list were Congress president Sonia Gan*dhi, senior leaders from the BJP, Samajwadi Party and Left parties.

service tax is unethical and illegal tax more than half of which is actually going to the pockets of retailers and service providers who collect it from end users and never give it to the govt.the funda of congress is simple looto the middle class,favor the riches and eat everything that is meant for the poor.funny is our country and its laws,you pay tax and face scrutiny from IT dept,you dont pay,nobody is going to ask you to pay. The problem is for salaried ones,you withdraw money from Atm and use it,it becomes black within hours and everytime the money circulates b/w white and black,its the same ppl who bear the transaction costs.so the mantra is,you are a black money guy,you keep enjoying and if u are the white money type,u keep paying all the taxes and pay for those also who dont contribute.

Corruption is the cost of managing coalition governments. The society is solely responsible for split or unclear political mandates borne out of religious/regional/linguistic aspirations of the split sick society. The coalition is unable to legislate for short of numbers thus defeating the very democratic set up of legislature. It is up to the society to understand the dangers of the split electoral verdicts which is pushing the government to to bankruptcy of national wealth by unscrupulous politicians offering free services when nothing comes free in this world.It is true, money doesn,t grow on trees and it is a harsh truth our electorate to understand before it is too late and try to vote a sing secular national party to power for the prosperity of nation.
