In what was the most surprising things I noticed till now was that Infosys fell 7% inspite of good performance. That clearly brings us to the question - does the market really feel jittery about the prospects of the company or is it something else that has driven the slide?

I sat with a technical analyst to look at the reasons. The charts clearly indicated the price breaking the support levels trend line. And that would have triggered a sell off by the traders.

So, the stock fall doesn't reflect anything but the traders' penchant to follow the charts and take actions. So, in a way the market behavior is determined by the traders view rather than traders view being determined by the market behavior.

Isn't this interesting.

Clearly, the Oil prices are also behaving in the same way. It's the traders who are determining the market behavior and not the market behavior determining the traders' actions based on charts.

Probably a case in point to stop speculators for allowing to trade in sensitive commodities like Oil.
